What’s in my Inbox | Direct mail follow up…

November 12, 2014

whatsinmyinbox

How are nonprofit organizations using the power of email to love their donors?  Join us every Tuesday for What’s in my Inbox.

This week’s What’s in my Inbox and What’s in my Mailbox are flip-flopped, to show you a great example of integrating email into your direct mail campaign.  If you didn’t see yesterday’s What’s in my Mailbox, go, look at it now by clicking HERE.

Did you read it?

Now, take a look at the email followup.

What I liked:

  • Preheader – so often neglected but it’s what you see when you’re scanning your email (with an eye on what to read and what to delete).  Rather than ‘WarChild November eNews’ or ‘Just a reminder that you are a WarChild subscriber,’ they’ve used this valuable real estate to send you a personal reminder
  • Restates the powerful story told in the DM piece
  • The donor is front and center throughout
  • Reminds the reader about the matching gift
  • Clean and mobile-friendly
