I’ve covered communications from Everytown Gun Safety before. A merge between Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America shortly after Sandy Hook happened. The US Senate had been debating changes to federal gun laws, including a failed amendment that would’ve enforced background checks for gun sales occurring at gun shows and over the internet. Everytown aims to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, as well as supports efforts to educate policy makers, the press, and the public about the consequences of gun violence.
So in short, Everytown does vital, necessary work through its donors, every day. This country needs these efforts, especially now. And Everytown clearly communicates that the hard-won victories happen because of donor support and action. Take note of the email header (“One act. Double the impact.”, the opening hook, the social media integration, and the compelling opportunity to not only give, but give bigger.
