What’s In My Inbox | The Philly Art Museum is celebrating the Birds’ victory, too! #FlyEaglesFly

February 6, 2018

Even if you missed out on the epic showdown between The Philadelphia Eagles and The New England Patriots this past Sunday, you’re undoubtedly well aware of the outcome: the Birds won! I’m no football fan myself, but the 2018 Super Bowl was one heck of a game and a nail biter in every sense of the word. When the Birds were ahead by 10, my confidence was high. And when the Pats pulled ahead by one point during the last quarter, I wondered if they’d take the championship yet again. It was an unforgettable game between the reigning champs and underdogs, and Eagles fans are naturally elated.

That includes the Philadelphia Art Museum, too — the ending point for the Eagles victory parade. I’m a member and my most recent email from them communicates the news that the Museum is closed on Thursday due to the parade and shares in the celebration of victory that began as soon as the fourth quarter commenced. Philadelphia Eagles football is a major part of Philly identity. Philadelphians know this, and the Museum does, too. Check it out!
